Poetry: Whispers of Strengths

I kissed your eyelid
with my long dark lashes.

And the wings that I spread
were revived from the ashes.

I kissed your forehead
with my thin red lips.

And my heart that I dread
lived beating within your ribs.

I heard the words unsaid
with my insightful ears.

And I loved sharing your bed
even with falling tears.

You embraced me when I wept
even when the weakness lingered.

You made my soul go undead
through the strengths you whispered.
