Poetry: A Heart of…

A heart of steel
Rolls like a wheel

A heart of gold

Is soon sold

A heart of flesh

Forgets like a fish

A heart of plastic

fragile yet fantastic

A heart of wood

Longs to be understood

A heart of stone

Sits on a throne

A heart of sand

Easily touched by one’s hand

A heart of glass

Showing its internal jazz

A heart of cactus

Hurting your lungs’ canvas

A heart of gear

With mechanical fear
